About the Role:
As a Lecturer in Digital, you will play a vital role in delivering their cutting-edge curriculum, equipping students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a fast-evolving digital world. You will inspire and support students on their journey through the dynamic and ever-changing digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Learning - Deliver engaging, student-focused teaching in Computer Science and Cyber Security.
- Curriculum Development - Create and implement innovative curriculum content that reflects current digital trends and technologies.
- Student Engagement - Mentor and guide students, fostering creativity, curiosity, and digital excellence.
- Industry Collaboration - Build partnerships with industry leaders to ensure our programmes remain relevant and forward-thinking.
What they are looking for:
- Qualifications: A master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: Proven teaching experience in higher education, with expertise in digital technologies and methodologies.
- Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Innovation: A passion for incorporating new technologies and creative teaching methods into the curriculum.
- Industry Insight: Strong connections with the digital sector and a commitment to staying up to date with the latest trends.
You should have expertise in at least two of the following areas:
- Programming and Software Development - Languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C#.
- Web Development and Digital Marketing - Proficiency in front-end tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular) and familiarity with back-end technologies (Node.js, Django, or PHP).
- Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, Google Analytics, and CMS platforms like WordPress.
- Networking and Cybersecurity - Understanding of concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and switching.
- Database Systems - Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Cloud Computing - Experience with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
